Hey, I am Aniket.
databases. vector search. the layers underneath.
I'm a software engineer at Microsoft, where I get to work on the database side of the AI stack, vector indexes and query optimisation inside MSSQL. It's the kind of work I've been wanting to do for a while, and I'm still finding my way around it.
Before this, I spent almost four years at Nutanix as Member of Technical Staff, building observable infrastructure on Kubernetes for hardware qualification at scale. A lot of PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Envoy, which I quietly enjoy.
I started out at Publicis Sapient on the Albertsons pharmacy platform, building scheduler APIs that ran across a couple of thousand stores through the pandemic. My first real lesson in what production traffic actually feels like.
I studied Computer Science and Engineering at IIT (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Spent my final year doing GAN research with Prof. Gadadhar Sahoo on face super-resolution: adversarial training, perceptual loss, and the small joys of watching a model finally converge.
On the side I like to read papers, blogs and share notes over here. Mostly for me, but if anything here resonates, the inbox is open :D
